THE ZOOLOGICAL PHOTOGRAPHIC CLUB, founded in 1899, is the world’s oldest natural history photographic society. It remains a prestigious club for many of the UK's leading wildlife photographers.
The main objectives of the club are to allow wildlife photographers to view and comment on each others’ work on a regular basis and to provide a forum for the discussion of photographic locations, equipment and techniques. Membership is limited to 28, and there are 6 postal portfolios of prints in constant circulation. Members meet at a club convention once every two years to display work and discuss the latest developments in the world of wildlife photography. A club print archive has been established to safeguard members’ best work for the enjoyment of future generations.

APPLICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP
Membership of the ZPC is open to anyone interested in taking photographs and producing prints of zoological subjects. Potential applicants should note that they will be required to submit a small portfolio of their recent work to demonstrate their abilities and that membership is limited to 28. Successful members-elect sometimes have to wait for some time until a vacancy arises.
