Started B/W photography in 1955 to help my husband Jeffrey illustrate his many articles Country Life etc. when B/Ws were the accepted thing. Travelled widely mainly in the northern hemisphere, then produced colour slides for his popular lectures. I joined the ZPC in 1965 and was honoured to receive the RGS Cherry Kearton Medal in 1966 and FRPS in B/W flight with advice from Harold hems. After Jeff’s death I resigned from the ZPC in 1985 to return to medicine but was fortunate to have several photographic trips with David Hosking and Martin Withers to Africa, Florida, the Galapagos and the Falklands where my granddaughter was working. 2002 gave me the chance to return to membership of the ZPC and launch into digital and the computer age. I rarely work from a hide and prefer to stalk my subject and camera handheld.
