I started out as an underwater photographer and spent many years in the company of small and large creatures of many different seas. My favourite underwater locations are South Africa and Scotland. I started to photograph wildlife on land on a trip to Botswana in 2008.
I enjoy the experiences of watching and learning about the wildlife as much as the photography. I have wonderful opportunities close to home with the Lammermuirs, the coast line of East Lothian and many brown hares in the fields around home. I have also had some wonderful experiences with exceptional guides abroad particularly recently with wild dogs in Africa and brown bears in Alaska.
