My interest in photography started when I was around 15 and I had saved enough money to buy a Zenit B 35mm SLR. I would develop my own black and white film at home, making prints in the school darkroom.
University and a career in the NHS plus family put photography on the backburner for a while but I rekindled my interest with the advent of digital cameras and the potential to make prints at home.
My first project was a landscape book on the Ceredigon Coastal Path but wildlife photography was always my first interest and now occupies most of my photographic time. In 2012 I won the Urban category of British Wildlife Photography Awards. In 2018 I was shortlisted for the People’s Choice award in Wildlife Photographer of the Year
Since retiring I have added ponds and hides to the patch of land around my home and enjoy watching and photographing the local wildlife.
