Edmund Fellowes ARPS MPAGB I have been interested in nature all my life. I put up my first hide as a schoolboy in 1961 to photograph reed warblers rearing a cuckoo at a site now beneath the M3. Luckily I had a wonderful biology teacher who steered me into medicine and I have spent my working life as a GP. I remain firstly a birdwatcher and am very involved with the British Trust for Ornithology being their volunteer representative for Dumfriesshire where I have lived for 40 years. I am however interested in all branches of nature.I gave up bird ringing 30 years ago to concentrate on photography. I pursue my hobby mostly in Dumfriesshire, but have also been able to travel to all 7 continents. I much prefer to find my own subjects and to work hides with a few local bird enthusiasts.
