I started work as an assistant photographer in 1961 for the Welcome Foundation in Berkhamsted. Attended the London College of Printing for 5 years on a day release scheme. After finishing apprenticeship in 1966 worked for various design studios eventually ending up at The Watford Observer. With my wife Heather we ran a commercial photographic business from 1984 to 2006. We are now semi-retired and living on a small holding in North Norfolk.
